The Saraswati Mandir Education Society was founded in the year 1950, and the Marathi medium school was started in a community hall of Saraswat Colony at Mahim with just 12 students on roll. As the students strength started increasing, the society purchased the plot at its present location in Mahim in the year 1961 and constructed its school building in 1963. Since the academic year 1962-63 the school has been imparting Education in Marathi as well as in English medium. At present the strength of students is well over 4500. Today the school has a five storeyed building with an A.C. hall in the basement and another three storeyed building which is being used as the C.B.S.E. section. The school is well equipped with the audio visual e-learning teaching technique in the classrooms.

Our ex-student Master Mangesh Koshe std X (2006-07) has stood first (85.22%) at the B.E. Degree (Branch Electronics and Telecommunication) (Sem-VIII) Examination conducted by University of Mumbai, held in May 2013

Saraswati Mandir High school, Mahim Felicitated it’s meritorious students at the March’13 S.S.C examination and also Scholarship achievers at a grand function held on 12th July’13 in V.K. Kotnis Sabhagriha.The Chief Guest DR. Manasi Rajadhayksha, hon. Secretary of Marathi Vidhnyan Parishad in the address urged the students to develop a questioning mind and to make use of Science for constructive purpose.

We Congratulate our ex-student, Mst.Vinayak Nayak and Mst.Sagar Shetiye for achieving 94% in thieir H.S.C.Exams and 191 and 190 out of 200 respectively in their CET Exams. We wish them all the best for the future.

The overall percentage of the school (English / Marathi medium)is 98.81%.

Master Abhay Narahari Nadkrani has secured 95.64% and stood first in the school.

The seminar on “Role of Parent, Teacher, Counsellor in handling Children’s problem.” was held at Saraswati Mandir school in collaboration with Goa Hindu Association Child And Parental Guidance Centreand Saraswati Mandir school on 2nd December 2013. The speaker for the seminar was Dr. Subha Thatte. During the seminar following points were covered by Dr. Thatte. •How teachers need to look at their role was explained. •Be a mentor. •How parents and teachers need to be empathetic and no show Apathy Antipathy Sympathy.
